MILOS SITES

Milos is the southwesternmost island of the Cyclades is created by an extinct volcano. The huge eruption that created a large natural harbor and it is surrounded by fantastic sceneries well worth a visit.

MILOS MARINA

The harbor provides quite good shelter from the meltemi, but it is exposed to southerlies. Visiting yachts moor stern-to the small yacht quay, where there is space for around ten boats (although the depth shallows at the western end) or along the outside arm of the tripper boat harbour, where there is space for a further 10-12 yachts on an anchor moor. An alternative is to anchor off in the bay to the east, clear of the small craft moorings. Here the holding in the mud and weed and provide good holding.

ADAMANTAS TOWN

Adamantas or Port Milos is the only harbor in Milos. It is near the end of Milos Bay, one of the largest natural harbors in the Mediterranian. Because of the size of the bay there can be a rather uncomfortable ground swell and also the ferry wash can be substantial.

FLOATING PONTOON ADAMANTAS

There is a chain for laid moorings near the pontoon at arround 20m from it on both sides of the floating pontoon.

MILOS - PAPAFRAGAS

Papafragas is an impressive place that resembles a huge natural swimming pool, an enormous cave carved out of the cliff’s side. There is also a tiny strip of sand that forms the beach. We can snorkel and enjoy the site and this unique geological phenomenon.

MILOS - SYKIA CAVE

On the west and to the south of Milos island you will find the cave of Sykia  (Fig Tree). Access is only possible from the sea.

If your boat is small you can get into the cave, if not you will have to anchor outside and swim. Years ago, the cave ceiling fell down probably due to an earthquake. The cave was named after the fig tree which stands near the roof opening.

MILOS - KLEFTIKO

The famous cove of Kleftiko (Bandits' Lair) was an old pirates' hideout and now one of the most popular tourist attractions in Milos island. Kleftiko is famous for its crystal-clear water, elaborate caves and imposing rock formations. It is located on the southwest tip of Milos island, is only accessible by boat.
